The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Character Book Tag

I’ve seen this tag around and I thought it would be really fun. No one tagged me, but I loved the Percy Jackson books so I thought I would try it and see how well it went. (Note: There are mild spoilers for the Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series throughout)

I read the Percy Jackson books about four years ago. I loved them and immediately picked up all of the other books in the other series. I’ve read The Kane Chronicles, The Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, The Trials of Apollo, and the two guides to mythology (Percy Jackson’s Guide to Greek Gods and Percy Jackson’s Guide to Greek Heroes). I’m pretty sure that the only books in the series I haven’t read are the graphic novels (or the books that haven’t come out yet). I loved the series so much, they had amazing and fun casts of characters, interesting premises and awesome adventures. Percy and Annabeth feel like my old friends, and I’m so excited that the series will be getting a adaptation on Dinsey+.

This is kind of a long intro, so now let’s get into this tag! This tag was created by the amazing May @ Forever and Everly (I linked her blog below) and she also made the amazing graphics!

Rules:

  • Thank the person who tagged you and link to their post.
  • Link to the original creator: May @ Forever and Everly! Please note that she made the artwork/graphics, if using them. *If you care about graphics having a clear quality, make it big enough so that the dimensions are 1103 x 175!
  • Match books with the given prompts.
  • Tag however many people as wanted!
  • Copy-paste the rules and list of prompts.

As I talked about in my Mid Year Freakout Tag, my favorite book that I’ve read this year is Dancing at the Pity Party by Tyler Feder.

Tiffany D Jackson. I am in awe of her every time. I have only read Monday’s Not Coming and Let Me Hear a Rhyme, but she tells stories in such an amazing and authentic way. It’s so interesting how the stories come together at the end.

Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman. I feel like not nearly enough people have read this book, and it is so good!

I don’t really read books that I think I will hate. One book that I didn’t think I would like very much was The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would and I was very pleasantly surprised!

Percy Jackson. The original series and the Heroes of Olympus series. They really helped me through my first year of middle school and I just love the universe so much.

I love the sibling relationship in Tigers, Not Daughters by Samatha Mabry. It’s so interesting (especially to someone who’s an only child).

All of the books in the Arc of a Scythe series! I would read them and then be an daze where I was like “what the crap just happened” I read them on my Kindle, so I also couldn’t really tell that they were so long.

This would probably be Darius the Great is Not Okay. I loved this book, and from what I’ve heard a lot of other people did too.

I would definitely bring my copy of They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera. I love this book and reread it all of the time.

I really think that I will love It Sounded Better In My Head by Nina Kenwood. I am so excited to put in my next book order!

Jason is one of my favorite characters of the series! I would definitely love to read Darius the Great Deserves Better by Adib Khorram. I recently reread Darius the Great is Not Okay for my book club, and I had forgotten just how good it was!

All of the Grishaverse! My friend was reading Shadow and Bone and we swapped books because she really wanted me to read it. While the first series wasn’t my favorite, I absolutely loved the Six of Crows series, and inhaled all of the books in the universe in about a few weeks!

This was really hard because I don’t really read “funny” books. I guess I would say that a book that I found really funny was The Way You Make Me Feel by Maureen Goo.

Every Jane Austen book? I loved Sense and Sensibility, I read it quite a few years ago, first with my mom and now I read it whenever I can’t sleep. It’s a book I always return to, and now I’ve read most of the other books, and they all have very special places in my heart!

I was afraid to reach the end of The Hand On the Wall, the last book in the Truly Devious series. I didn’t want the series to end, but I wanted to know what happens. I am so excited that there will be a new book in the series coming out next year!

I don’t really have one. I think I am more likely to not like a book that everyone else liked. I guess I liked An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson more than a lot of people did.

I honestly don’t know. I don’t have any books that I absolutely hate like that.

I feel like this is a common answer, but I love Kaz and Inej from Six of Crows. It was such a slow burn romance that means the world to me! (Obviously Percy and Annabeth are an OTP too).

I tag…

Everyone who loves the series and wants to try it! Feel free to say that I tagged you and let me know of your post in the comments! I’m so excited to see what you come up with!
