Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! Today I’ll be sharing some books that I hope to read during Pride this year. I don’t usually make TBRs, but I really want to focus on reading LGBTQ+ books this month, especially books written by BIPOC authors. So, here are five books that I want to read this month with LGBTQ+ representation. I hope (and plan) that I’ll be able to read more, but these are books that I definitely have access to, either because I own them, or because they are available at my public library.

Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar
I’m sure it’s not a surprise that this is the first book on my TBR. This book looks so amazing, and since I loved The Henna Wars, I could not be more excited to read this book. I’m buddy reading this with Aria this month, whose blog you should absolutely check out!

The Fever King by Victoria Lee
I got this book at the beginning of 2021, and I still haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. I’ve heard amazing things about this book and its sequel (which I also own), but I’ve been waiting until I know that I’ll have time to read both of them without many interruptions. Since school’s out, I’ll definitely have time to read this duology, and I’m pretty sure that every single character in this series is queer!

Meet Cute Diary by Emery Lee
This looks so cute! The concept sounds really interesting as well. I haven’t heard too much about this book, but I think I’ll really like it! My library has an ebook edition of this book, which is really awesome, since my library doesn’t always have newer diverse books.

Miss Meteor by Tehlor Kay Mejia and Anna-Marie McLemore
Since I’ve read and enjoyed both of these authors’ solo books, I can’t wait to read their collaboration. I was so glad to discover that this was available at my public library! I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this book, and it looks like such a beautiful exploration of identity and friendship.

Picture Us in the Light by Kelly Loy Gilbert
This is one book that I want to reread this month. I read this book years ago, and it was actually the first book I ever reviewed. I haven’t reread it since, even though I thought it was a really beautiful book. Even though I don’t really track my rereads, I really want to read this book again, and hopefully publish an updated review!

What are some books that you want to read this month for Pride? Have you read any of these books? What did you think? Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear from you!
