Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. Today I’m sharing some of the books that I’m excited for that are releasing from August until December of 2022! There are so many amazing books coming out and I can’t wait to read all of them!
I’ve tried to put these books in order by release date, but I may have gotten some of them wrong! Also, I’ve linked the Goodreads pages for the books in their titles.
- A Venom Dark and Sweet by Judy I. Lin – After really enjoying A Magic Steeped in Poison, reading the ending of the book(!!!), and seeing the author speak at a book festival, I’m so excited for the sequel to release in August!
- Three Kisses, One Midnight by Roshani Chokshi, Evelyn Skye, and Sandhya Menon – I haven’t heard too much about this book yet, but I find books with interconnected stories really interesting
- Self-Made Boys by Anna-Marie McLemore – Earlier this year, I read The Great Gatsby and I actually liked it! This is part of the reason why I’m really looking forward to this “remix” of the story by Anna-Marie McLemore. The other reason is that I’ve really liked all of their other books that I’ve read.
- Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong – Another Chloe Gong book! Need I say more? After loving These Violent Delights and Our Violent Ends, I’m really looking forward to this new series!
- A Scatter of Light by Malinda Lo – I really liked Last Night at the Telegraph Club, and while this is a companion novel, I am so excited to read it!
- Love from Mecca to Medina by S. K. Ali – I read Love from A to Z a while ago and I really liked it! I’m looking forward to the sequel!
- Strike the Zither by Joan He – While I didn’t love The Ones We’re Meant to Find, I am super excited for this fantasy novel which looks super interesting!
- How to Excavate a Heart by Jake Maia Arlow – This book looks super cute, with two Jewish girls falling in love over the holidays!
- Gleanings by Neal Shusterman and others – I hadn’t heard anything about this book, but I found it a couple of days ago and I’m super interested in it! It looks like it’s an anthology of stories written by different others that take place in the Arc of a Scythe universe.
- Whiteout by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon – After reading and enjoying Blackout, another collection of short stories by these authors, I’m looking forward to their new story collection, this one taking place during a snowstorm in Atlanta!
- Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales – This looks like a super fun rom-com and I can’t wait to read it!
- A Million to One by Adiba Jaigirdar – If you’ve followed me for a while, then you know that Adiba Jaigirdar is one of my favorite authors! I’m so excited to read this book which is a heist novel set on the Titanic!

I’m excited about so many of these as well! I have the audiobook for Self-Made Boys. I am tempted to drop everything to listen to it!
