The evermore Book Tag

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! Today I’ll be doing the evermore book tag created by Rhi @ Marshmallow Harmonies (linked below). I am really excited to do this tag since I’ve really enjoyed listening to Taylor Swift’s new album!

Rules

  • Link to the original creator and her post: Rhi from marshmallow harmonies
  • Tag at least 3 people.
  • Declare the rules and list of prompts in your post (copy paste is fine!)
  • Thank whoever who tagged you and link to their post.
  • Pingback to original post so they’re all in one place to read ❤

Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas had such a great romance between Yadriel and Julian that I was rooting for the whole time!

This one is hard because I usually don’t usually hate relationships, but I didn’t really enjoy reading Shatter Me and part of that was the romance which just didn’t seem very realistic. The series (and romance) got better in the later books, but the first book definitely did not have a good relationship.

For this one, I’m going to have to go with one of my favorite books of all time, Darius the Great is Not Okay. Ever since I first read it two years ago, it has been one of my all time favorites that I love so much!

I actually haven’t read too many books with the fake dating trope, although there are a lot of books with fake dating coming out this year. One books that I have read, however, is 10 Things I Hate About Pinky which was a pretty fun and cute read.

One book that I love that deserves more hype is When You Were Everything by Ashley Woodfolk. This was a really beautiful story of a friendship breakup that definitely deserves more discussion and hype!

The Tower of Nero by Rick Riordan was such a great end to the Percy Jackson universe. It tied up a lot of the stories, but also left room for more. Even though The Trials of Apollo wasn’t my favorite Rick Riordan series, I really liked how it ended.

I really relate to Rowan from Today Tonight Tomorrow. We both are really competitive and have similar outlooks on high school. We also are both writers, and are often uncomfortable with sharing our writing.

For this prompt, I’m choosing Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills. There are so many friendships in this book, from Claudia and Iris to Gideon and Noah that are all so amazing and really complex!

Any Anna-Marie McLemore would work for this prompt as all of their books are written in such a beautiful and haunting style. I recently read Wild Beauty, and loved the magic and story, but I also loved When the Moon Was Ours and really liked Dark and Deepest Red.

Darius faces a lot of hard choices in Darius the Great Deserves Better about his relationship, his friendships, and his job. I really liked that this book explored the hard choices people often have to make about their happiness.

I would love to visit the world of the PJO books and spend the summer at Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter. I know that it’s actually really dangerous to live in the demigod world, but I think it would be really cool!

Besides any of the Percy Jackson books, one of my ultimate comfort books is Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. This was one of the books that got me back into reading a few years ago and I love to reread it.

Dancing at the Pity Party by Tyler Feder explores grief and death in a really interesting graphic memoir format. I sobbed through this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who has lost someone that they love.

I am so excited to see what else Adiba Jaigirdar will write next! I would do anything to read Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating and I loved The Henna Wars, so I have high hopes for the rest of her writing career!

I’m going to have to go with The Tower of Nero again for this one because supposedly it’s the end of the whole Percy Jackson universe and I definitely cried after finishing.

I tag…

Anyone who’s interested! I don’t really talk to very many people about Taylor Swift, but if you would like to try this tag, feel free to say that I tagged you and participate!

Have you listened to evermore? What are your favorite songs? Mine are champagne problems, ’tis the damn season, coney island, majorie, and evermore. Let’s chat in the comments!
